JANE THOMPSON
Jane E. Thompson helps organizations achieve their goals by working with management during times of change to implement practical solutions. Jane's 30 years of experience includes leadership positions in the nonprofit and for-profit private sectors and the government public sector. She has strong connections with community healthcare organizations coupled with a management discipline and demonstrated expertise in financial management as a formerly practicing CPA.
In the nonprofit sector, Jane held the position of Chief Operating Officer for the District of Columbia Primary Care Association (DCPCA), a position created for Jane to allow the founder and CEO to focus on external relationships and strategic vision through a time of incredible growth for the organization. At DCPCA, Jane created and led the senior-level management team through an annual performance evaluation based on individual goals to measure progress towards the five-year strategic plan. In addition, using her financial expertise, she created budget modeling tools to monitor and maximize grant revenues.
Prior to DCPCA, she led the local operations for a national managed care organization focusing exclusively on enrolling low income Medicaid recipients and started the managed care program for DC Government’s Medicaid program in the mid-90s.
Jane's strategic planning and management leadership experience uniquely qualifies her to step into organizations as an Interim Executive Director, CEO, COO and CFO - thereby helping stabilize operations during times of change and easing the way to success for the permanent replacement.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky and is on the adjunct faculty at Georgetown University teaching a course in Strategic Planning and Implementation to Healthcare Policy and Management undergraduates.
