LISA KARLISCH
Lisa’s career has spanned both consulting and operational roles in the nonprofit and for profit sectors. She started her career with McKinsey & Company, developing business strategies for health care and non-profit organizations. From there she became the Director of Operations and the Center for Multicultural Human Services, a mental health center focused on serving the psychological and social service needs of immigrants and refugees. After leaving CMHS, she returned to consulting, focusing on strategic development and process development/improvement for small businesses.
Lisa received her Ph.D. from Duke University in Clinical Child Psychology. She also has a B.S. from Virginia Tech in Psychology and Sociology. She currently serves on the board of the Center for Alexandria’s Children, a child advocacy center in Alexandria, VA. She is also on the Board of Child Trends, a national research organization that studies developmental issues in children.
